Preventive maintenance schedules Computerized Electronic Gauging System
CARE AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE REQUIRED FOR THE BAKER PROBE MODULE:
1. No dust or fluids should be allowed to ingress into the PROBE MODULE enclosure.
2. Don't locate this equipment in the vicinity of direct Sunlight or Heat generating equipment like an oven
or furnace.
3. This being a very sensitive measuring equipment, hence to ensure consistent and error-free operation,
the user is advised to provide Mains AC voltage supply that is free of instability as well as surges
and spikes in any form. In case the Mains power supply is not stable, then use of a reliable and fast
acting stabiliser (like a CVT) is recommended. Further, there should not be machines connected on the
same supply line that cause excessive sparking or high powered inductive switching.
4. Ensure that the LIVE terminal is the Right Hand Side pin, and the NEUTRAL terminal is the Left-Hand
Side pin of the Customer's Mains socket.
5. The AC voltage between the Neutral & Ground terminal should never exceed 1 volt ac.
6. The Ground (Earth) terminal connection that will be provided to this system should be functional, and isolated
from that which is provided to any other high powered machine tool.
7. Use ONLY a Slow-blow 20mm x 5 mm type glass fuse having a rating of 250 mA, in the event of
fuse replacement.
8. Ensure that all probes connected to the Probe Module are securely tightened into their respective connectors.
9. The 25 pin, Male type 'D' connector fitted on the Output socket of the Probe module needs to be
appropriately and tightly secured, and its interconnecting cable not subjected to physical strain.
10. Subject the Probe Module to a periodic Inspection & Calibration by electrically disconnecting (isolating) the
attached peripheral (Computer or PLC etc.).
